Kask Vertigo Tri ( like those aero ones team sky use! )

I've been lucky enough to be supported by Kask helmets for the past few years. I loved the original Vertigo and used mine pretty much every day for 2 years.

At the start of this winter I was lucky enough to receive a Vertigo Tri. This is essentially the same as the standard Vertigo but the vent holes are not present. Team Sky have been using this for a few seasons due to the aerodynamic advantages. Getting an aero helmet is one of the most efficient ways to gain a little extra speed.

However as a mountain biker the aero aspect isn't especially appealing. The thing that really made me want one was the fact that it keeps your head warm! Living in the UK as I do the weather is normally pretty crappy. Rain and freezing conditions are the norm in winter so keeping warm and dry are a priority when putting in the winter miles.

The Vertigo Tri has the same proven fit as the original, but has the added bonus of actually keeping your head warm! I've been running a very thin ear band all winter and the helmet does the rest. It allows enough air to keep your head comfortable, whilst keeping out the cold howling wind and the driving rain. This helmet has been invaluable all winter and will continue to be until summer. Maybe i should try using it in a race to get a bit faster!
